What is cognitive intelligence? The way we perceive the world is based on information coming from our eyes and ears to our brain at the same time. Conventional AI can only detect and analyze elements like color, contrast and detail individually. Cognitive Processor XR can cross-analyze every element at once, just as our brains do. Analyzing hundreds of pieces of information, the same way our brains do. To create this closer-to-reality feeling, Cognitive Processor XR divides the screen into hundreds of zones and recognizes individual objects in these zones better than ever before. What's more, they can cross-analyze around a few hundred thousand different elements that make up a picture in a second, the same way that our brains work. Pictures just like the way our eyes perceive the world. Watch the full video below. Hawthorn apartments, a luxury apartment complex in Somers, Wisconsin got in touch with Modern Media Tech in 2020 with an exciting prospect: design the audio, video, security, and automation systems for their new state-of-the-art 8,000 square foot clubhouse. Equipped with a swimming pool, weatherproof outdoor entertainment area, resident co-working space, demonstration kitchen, and more we had one goal in mind: intuitive ease of use. This is the final entry in our 4-part project feature series Residents need to be able to operate each of Hawthorn's unique technology features with ease, while allowing staff central control of the entire clubhouse system. To meet those needs Modern Media Tech used RTI programming to create a dynamic multimedia solution. RTI allows you to run your system simply. Instead of a different remote for audio, video, etc. RTI allows for just one. Using either touchscreens or keypads, residents can switch between streaming television, listening to their phone audio in the room, and adjusting the volume, and more. RTI saves time and provides Hawthorn staff a user-friendly experience as well. Through a single interface staff can control and monitor the media in each room so they can provide the best experience to their clients as well. And with programmed configurations, all media systems automatically turn off at the end of the work day and start up with specifications the customer provided. For example, the kitchen television turns on to a cooking channel and audio plays at a specified level in the communal work area.
There are endless possibilities with RTI. Best of all, it’s centrally located. All RTI and audio equipment are located in a rack tucked away from view, giving the ultimate modular experience and security for peace of mind. Project Feature: Hawthorn Apartments Clubhouse (Part 3) - Weatherproof Tech and Better Sound12/1/2020 Hawthorn apartments, a luxury apartment complex in Somers, Wisconsin got in touch with Modern Media Tech in 2020 with an exciting prospect: design the audio, video, security, and automation systems for their new state-of-the-art 8,000 square foot clubhouse. Equipped with a swimming pool, weatherproof outdoor entertainment area, resident co-working space, demonstration kitchen, and more we had one goal in mind: intuitive ease of use. This is the third entry in our 4-part project feature series. Project Background: The Hawthorn Apartments Clubhouse includes an outdoor entertainment area with 3-season access for residents. To withstand the extremes of Midwest weather, Modern Media Tech designed a robust and fully weatherproof outdoor theater and audio system built to last. The main entertainment area, a covered open-air veranda, features a surround-sound speaker system and a 65” Sunbrite television all designed to withstand the elements. From Sunbrite: "All of our products are built with bright screens and a durable, powder-coated aluminum exterior that is outdoor safe and weather-tight for permanent outdoor installation." Residents are able to control the audio and television from an 8” touchscreen controller and can even play their own videos by connecting their device via HDMI input, Chromecast, or Apple AirPlay. High fidelity is key. In order to create a full and even soundscape we used 19 speakers across the entire area. With this many speakers we were able to maximize the space and widely distribute the sound at a pleasant listening volume. Lastly, we considered placement, an often overlooked component of design, balancing discrete location without compromising sound and serviceability. Tucked away inside a planter in the center of the outdoor area are 2 365 degree landscape speakers. While not a simple feature to create, involving coordinating with electricians and gardeners for construction, the enhancement to sound and viewing were well worth the effort.

This is the second entry in our 4-part project feature series At the Hawthorn Clubhouse flexibility is key. Almost every room in the complex has its own audio system and many have televisions. Each room’s system is controllable through an 8” touch screen or keypad so any resident of varying technical ability can start operating with ease. To customize their experience, residents can use an in-wall audio jacks, HDMI inputs (in rooms with TVs), Google Chromecast, or Apple Airplay to play their own music/video. Each room's audio can be treated as its own area or work together. Across the clubhouse there are multiple "zones", meaning users can play their music in one room, two adjacent rooms, or even across the entire building. And with sound channels mixed with our customized digital amps we aim to provide residents with the ultimate multimedia and listening experience.
